uParcel Delivers For Food From The Heart

During the circuit breaker period, uParcel partnered with Food From The Heart to help deliver food to lower income households. There had been an exponential increase from 30 over points to 3,500 door to door deliveries. At a peak, deliveries even reached up to 4,500.

Food From The Heart (FFTH) is a Singapore charity organisation devoted to solving hunger problems through efficient food distribution.

With uParcel's dedicated delivery fleet of 10,000 over agents, uParcel was able to render help to the charity organisation and successfully deliver the food packages and groceries door to door, while providing details for contact tracing. 

CEO Sim Bee Hia thanked uParcel for their contribution when prompted by the host about some of the notable things that corporate organisations or individuals had done for Food From The Heart.

There was a lack of commercial jobs at the time, everyone was working at home and the organisation was experiencing a loss in income. 

In the podcast, the CEO mentioned that despite the circumstances, "uParcel stepped forward to deliver the food packs. That was really admirable.".

She also noted that uParcel's delivery agents were quick and eager to help out with the deliveries despite the voluntary nature of the jobs.
