Sellers can now select uParcel as your preferred logistic channel for shipment processes. uParcel is the only shipping channel that provides both buyers and sellers with the flexibility to choose the delivery timing.

If you are selling the following types of items, you may consider using uParcel to fulfil such orders:

  1. Perishable/ chilled/ frozen items
  2. Plants
  3. Flower bouquets

Setting uParcel As A Shipping Channel

To utilize uParcel for order deliveries, you can toggle on the shipping channel via Seller Center.

Under "Shipping Setting", you can toggle on uParcel under "More Shipping Options"

uParcel Pickup and Delivery Timing

When using uParcel, you are given the flexibility to decide which delivery timeslots you want to enable for your shop. You can toggle the preferred timeslot under the "Delivery Time Slots Offered".

Buyers will be prompted to choose from the delivery timeslots you have set upon checkout:

Pickup Timeslots

Your pickup timeslot will depend on the delivery timeslot selected by the buyer. You may refer to the following table for the corresponding pickup timeslots for each delivery timeslot:

If you arrange your shipment anytime before 9 PM, uParcel will be able to pick up the item the following day and have it delivered to your buyer within the same day.

uParcel Shipping Fee

There is a flat shipping fee of $4.99 for uParcel which will be imposed to the buyer. The remaining fee will be covered by seller based on the weight tier.

The following rate card will be charged on orders placed with Doorstep Delivery Channels:
(From 1 January 2024 , Doorstep Delivery Fees will be adjusted in alignment with the GST 2024 changes.)

  • Shipping subsidy is only applicable to the local sellers on Coins Cashback Programme
  • The maximum parcel dimensions (L+W+H) should not exceed 180cm and maximum weight should not exceed 25kg.

uParcel's Default Authorized to leave (ATL) for perishable items

With effect from 10 May 2024, uParcel will implement Default Authorised to Leave (ATL) for all perishable item deliveries. Parcels containing perishable items will, by default, automatically be left at a safe location at the recipient's address (e.g., riser, shoe rack, doorstep, or buyer's designated area) if they are unavailable to receive the delivery.

Perishable items are strictly non-returnable due to concerns of food safety, hygiene, and the risk of spoilage. With Default ATL, parcels with perishable items delivered by uParcel will be securely left at a safe location, awaiting buyer's collection upon their return. This eliminates concerns about missed deliveries or the need for rescheduling.

  • Sellers will be responsible for any risks and costs associated with the return of perishable items in the event of failed delivery, including, but not limited to, inability to access buyer's location, security limitations, etc.

uParcel Additional Charges

Effective 1 Feb 2024, please note that any additional charges resulting from, but not limited to, the following reasons outlined below will be charged back to your Seller Wallet by Shopee:

  • Failed Pick Up
  • Last-Minute Cancellation
  • Return Fees
  • Wrong Parcel Size Selection
  • Untruthful Order ID
  • Multiple Shipment Created for Single Order ID
  • Improper Allocation of Order from Different Channel/Platform

The bill of additional charges will be emailed to you on the 4th week of the month. It is essential for you to review and verify these additional charges within 30 calendar days upon receipt.

  • You are given 30 calendar days from receipt to dispute these charges by responding to the Shopee email.
  • If there is no response from the seller within this period, the additional charges will be automatically debited in full from the Shopee wallet on the next 5 business days.
  • There will be a one month delay for these charges. For instance, if it's Feb 2024, you will receive the additional charges incurred in Jan 2024.

FAQs for uParcel

Can I choose not display one of the delivery time slot to buyers?

- Yes, you may choose the option for "Not Display" under your seller account to hide a particular time slot.

Will uParcel be able to do same day delivery?

- Yes, uParcel can provide same day delivery, as long as selected by the buyer on the same day.

What is the cutoff time for seller to arrange shipment for their orders for earliest delivery?

- If you arrange shipment with uParcel before 10AM, the earliest delivery slot is the same day.

Best Practices for Sellers Using uParcel

Set a cut-off time and schedule your orders early

We encourage sellers to set a cut-off time (e.g. 2PM) for orders to be delivered within the next working day.

This gives sellers ample time to process the orders and make necessary changes, if any.

Sellers are also required to arrange shipment 1 day in advance (before 9PM) for uParcel to guarantee next-day delivery.

Ensure parcels adhere to uParcel packing guidelines

Sellers should ensure that all items, especially perishable goods, are properly packed to withstand atleast 6 hours in the ambient conditions.

Returns/refund process with uParcel

If your items were lost or damaged by uParcel, you will receive compensation. Refer to the following table for possible compensation amounts:
